The First Dance

Many engaged couples choose to take dance lessons together. You can add  a special touch to your wedding with a choreographed routine for your First Dance. Most couples choose to learn to dance to their wedding song as well as learn some other basic dances. We also choreograph routines for the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances.

Dancing Together for Life

Some couples want to be able to dance together at their reception and on their honeymoon. Preparing to dance at the reception can lead to a lifetime of dancing together at other weddings and special events. Whether you prefer slow and romantic songs or fast, upbeat music...we can help make dancing together fun and easy.

Choosing a Song

It is ideal for engaged couples to have several songs they can choose from for their First Dance. This allows your instructor to assist you in selecting a dance that will be most appropriate to your level and time frame. We can help you decide which song will be the most suitable for you to dance to and for spectators to enjoy. Of course, if you have that one special song, we will choreograph a routine to that piece of music.

When to Start

Whatever the goals for your dancing, the sooner you get started, the better. While 3-6 months before the wedding is common, it is never too early (or late) to begin! There are several reasons, including:

· You can learn at an appropriate speed and manner for retention.

· You can be taught more dances and patterns for each dance.

· You can develop your timing so you can move to the music.

· You can improve your styling, such moving your hips and arms.

· You can be trained to lead and follow one another.

· While you can pace your lessons to stop whenever you want, you cannot add more time if you do not start soon enough.

· Your time will become more  limited as the big day approaches, so it is difficult to focus on and make time for something new.

· You can enjoy learning, dancing, and spending time together more!
